The Passing of a
Brother
Crestview Fire Department Battalion Chief Francis Allen Hoffman was on his
way to work Monday morning, May 20, 2007, when he died in a single vehicle
accident. Battalion Chief Hoffman was 42 years old. He has been with
Crestview Fire Department since August 7th, 2002. He came to us from South
Walton Fire District where he served from January 1990 to September of
2002. He was a member of Thomas Drive Fire Department before being
employed with South Walton Fire District from June 1987 to December of
1989. He and his wife were avid motorcycle riders and he was a member of
the Red Knights Motorcycle Club. He also was a member of the International
Association of Fire Fighters Local 2680.
Our Brothers untimely passing has stricken grief across the Florida
panhandle. God speed Brother, you are missed.
